Breakfast of a Toddler

Anyone wanna guess what Kiana wanted for breakfast this morning? Well, it starts out pretty normal. I asked her if she wanted a pancake. To which she replied "yea......with a pickle". "You want a pickle with your pancake?"
"yeah" she said like I was crazy for asking.
"that's weird Kiana!"
"it's not weird Mommy....it's yummy"

Life with kids is never boring that's for sure!

Pumpkin Festival Parade

We took the kids to the annual Pumpkin Festival Parade today. Mav mostly just hung out in the stroller, but Kiana LOVED it!!!

She went wild when they started throwing candy. She's never been to a parade before, so this was all new to her.

It was so much fun seeing how she reacted to everything. The horses were her favorite. She kept waving to them and saying "hi horsies" LOL.

She also waved at the huge Chick-fil-A cow :)

There was a pirate there handing out gold coins to all the kids too.

The General Lee ended the parade with a bang :)

When it was over, she said "Mommy, that was fun at the parade". It takes so little to make them happy doesn't it? I love this time of year with all the festivals and parades. It's going to be so much fun this year now that she understands so much more!!

Check-ups

The kids had their check-ups today..Kiana's 3 year and Mav's 9 month. Kiana also got to do the vision test for the first time today. She did very well...but when they asked her what the hand picture was, she said it was a stop light LOL. She thought it was the sign on the cross walk signal :) Mav weighed in at 20 lb. 13 oz (50th %), and is 29" tall (75th %). He's a full pound lighter than Kiana was at this age. Guess he's gonna be tall and skinny. They both got their flu shots today too. Kiana got the nasal mist and when they were finished, she said "now I can breathe" LOL. Mav didn't even cry at all when he got his shot...such a brave boy! He has to go back in Nov. and get his second dose of it. I can't believe my baby will be a year old in a little over 2 months. Where does the time go?
